NTC thermistor can be used as an electronic circuit component in instrument circuit temperature compensation and thermocouple cold end temperature compensation. When using the self-heating characteristics of NTC thermistor to realize automatic gain control, it can form a RC oscillator, which is used to delay and protect circuit. 
The resistance of the thermistor is related to the dissipating condition of the environment when the self-heating temperature is far higher than the ambient temperature, thus NTC thermistors can be commonly used as a test component in current meter, flow meter, gas analyzer, and thermal conductivity analysis, etc. 
ATI offers a series of NTC thermistor of high stability and high accuracy with long service life. ATH100KR8 is a typical one. It is a glass encapsulated thermistor with two leads of 63mm. Glass encapsulated thermistor presents a better long term stability and reliability when comparing with epoxy encapsulated thermistor. The nominal resistance @ 25°C is 100K ± 1%. The thermistor diameter is 0.8 ± 0.1mm. We also provides other two types, one comes with the two leads covered with high temperature plastic tubing and the other has the tubing too, but also has the head and the tubing sealed between.
