ATI has developed a series high voltage and constant current laser drivers in recent days, the ATLSxA217D series, and ATLS4A217D is in this series. This laser driver comes with a maximum output current up to 4A and a wide input voltage range from 5.5V to 27V. Although it features high current and high voltage, no heat sink is needed in normal application due to its high efficiency, and the module size is also very small.
This laser driver can be used for driving one or multiple laser diodes at the same time with high efficiency and high reliability. It is enclosed in a six sided enclosure, in which all the electro-magnet interferences are blocked inside and outside, so it will not interfere other electronics or be interfered. More features can be found in this laser driver, such as dual independent current set ports LISH and LISL, direct digital modulation control PCN as well as three control states, i.e. shutdown, standby and operation.
