Noise is one of the signals that must be handled in electronic design. We all know that there are two types of amplifier noise: one is external noise, which is derived from the outside of the amplifier. The other is internal noise, which is coming from the device itself. So handling the noise of the amplifier is crucial to improving the performance of the electronics. There are some ultra low noises that cannot be measured by oscilloscope. But how do we measure the noise?

Today I will introduce one noise measurement amplifier ATNMA2. This noise measurement amplifier could test ultra low noises that cannot be measured by oscilloscope, such as nV and µV level noises, for electronic modules. It has a built-in rechargeable battery and with low battery indicator. It can be used for more than 20 hours with 500mAH rechargeable battery.

The amplifier measures the noise signal by touching the point that needs to be tested, then amplifies the detected noise signal and select the measurement range of frequency. Its input probes can be adjusted angle more than 70°. The output could be connected the BNC and oscilloscope by using the coaxial cable.

Once you measured the noise and knew the source of the noise. You can find ways to reduce noise by filtering to make the circuit perfect.
