Medium voltage amplifiers are part of the ATI High Voltage Amplifier / Piezo Driver product line. If your load needs more than 250V, or a bipolar output, see the AHVA high voltage series (100V to ±2kV, slew rate to 2400V/µs).
A medium voltage amplifier amplifies a low-voltage analog control signal into an output of roughly 100V to 250V. It sits between a general-purpose op-amp and a kilovolt-class high voltage amplifier: enough swing to drive piezo stacks, piezo benders, MEMS elements and other capacitive loads, without the cost, size and insulation requirements of a kV-rated design.
ATI offers two medium voltage amplifiers, in two different forms:
| |
AMVA12V250V20MA |
MP108T |
| Output voltage |
10V to 250V, adjustable |
Up to 200V |
| Input voltage |
12V DC |
200V |
| Form |
Self-contained module with built-in high voltage DC-DC converter and three status LEDs |
Surface-mount power operational amplifier on a thermally conductive, electrically insulating substrate; mounts directly to a heat sink |
| Best for |
Driving a piezo or other medium voltage load directly from a 12V rail, with no separate high voltage supply |
Higher-current industrial drive, and as a lower-heat drop-in upgrade from the MP108 |
Full electrical specifications differ between the two parts and are given on each product page and in its datasheet.
APPLICATIONS
Piezo actuators, piezo transducers and benders, MEMS devices, electro-optic elements, and other medium voltage or capacitive loads in industrial, test and research equipment.
Other models can be customized.
