We have developed a series of constant current CW laser drivers ATLSxA202D. The laser drivers include: ATLS500MA202, ATLS1A202, ATLS2A202, ATLS3A202, ATLS4A202, and ATLS6A202. In order to use the laser driver more conveniently, we developed an evaluation board for ATLSXA202D series diode laser drivers specially. The evaluation board is designed to evaluate the functions and basic specifications for ATLSXA202D.
Since the ATLSxA202D series laser drivers come with up to 6A current, the evaluation board provides good heat dissipation: heat sink and fan. There are terminal blocks and solder pads at the input and signal ports. They are used for connecting different wires, external components and instruments. There is an LED on the right side of the board which will be lit up when the driver works well. There is a potentiometer W1 on the left side of the board and the switch bank on the bottom center of the board. There are 5 dummy laser diodes on the board, D1 to D5, in place of a real laser so that in case there is a problem in the circuit, the expensive laser would not be damaged.
