With the development of technology and economy, thermal silicone pads have been widely used for electronic products, auto mechanics, computers, DVD, VCD and some other products, which need filling materials and heat dissipation. Thermal silica is a kind of thermal interface materials based on silica gel, metal oxide and other auxiliary materials. The main function of thermal silicone pads is to transfer heat by the gap. At the same time, it can also play roles of insulation, shock absorption and seal.

The following is about the usages of thermal silicone pads.

1. The contact surface of silica should be clean, if not, it’s self-adhesive and thermal conductivity will become worse. 

2. When taking a thermal silicone pad, large silicone pads need to be grabbedits center, but there are no requirements about small ones. If the uneven force is on the large silica, it will result in silicone pad deformation and affect subsequent operations.

3. In order to reduce the times and the direct contact area of conductive silica, protective films on both sides of silicone pads cannot be tear off at the same time.

4. When tearing one protective film, facing the radiator, the silicone pad is aligned with the radiator, and then it is put down slowly. Be careful to avoid generating air bubbles.

5. If there are bubbles, please pull up one side of silica and repeat the above steps or resort to some tools to gently wipe the bubbles.

6. When tearing the other protective film, the force should be small so as to avoid injuring or pulling up thermal silica pad.

7. After fastening conductive silica, some pressure is put on the radiator to ensure that the thermal silicon pad is fixed well.
