    The NTC thermistor is a thermistor with negative temperature coefficient and it has high performance ceramics near theoretical density structure by using a single high purity material. Therefore, at the same time with realizing miniaturization, it also has the small fluctuation characteristics of resistance value and temperature and fast response characteristic, which can take the high sensitivity and high accuracy detection.
    NTC is the abbreviation of negative temperature coefficient, which refers to semiconductor material or device with large negative temperature coefficient. The so-called NTC thermistor made by using ceramicis the negative temperature coefficient thermistor, whichis based on the main materials of manganese, cobalt, nickel and copper and some other metal oxide. These metal oxide materials have semiconductor propertiesbecause conductive way is completely similar to the germanium, silicon and other semiconductor materials.When the temperature is low, the number of the oxide material carriers (electrons and holes) is small, so its resistance value is high; as the temperature increases, the number of carrier increases, so the resistance value decreases. At ambient temperature, the variation range of NTC thermistor is 100~1000000Ω, and the range of temperature coefficient is -2%~-6.5%. NTC thermistor can be widely used in temperature measurement, temperature compensation, inhibition of surge current andsome other occasions.
