The Advantages of LED

Light Emitting Diode (LED) is a kind of semiconductor solid light emitting device, which uses solid semiconductor chips as light emitting materials.When applying a positive voltage at its both ends, the composite of carriers in semiconductor will induce photon emission and produce light. LED can directly emit red, yellow, blue, green, green, orange, purple and white light.
There are many advantages of LED product.
1. High efficiency: spectrum can almost concentratein the range of visible light frequency, and the efficiency can reach 80%-90%, but the efficiency of incandescent visible light with similar light effect is only 10%-20%.
2. High quality light: because of no ultraviolet and infrared in the spectrum, there is no heat and no radiation, which belongs to the typical green lighting source.
3. Small energy consumption: the single power is generally 0.05-1w, through the cluster mode it can meet different needs and decrease the energy using. In the condition of the same brightness, its power consumption can only be 1/8-1/10 of an ordinary incandescent lamp.
4. Long service life: the standard lifetime is 100000 hours until the flux attenuation is up to 70%. If a semiconductor lamp is used under normal conditions, the lifetime can be as long as 50 years.
5. Reliable and durable: there are no easily damaged parts, such as tungsten wire, glass and so on. Therefore, the abnormal scrap rate is very small and the maintenance costs are very low.
6. Flexible application: because of small volume, it can be flat package and easy to develop into short thin products.
7. Security: the operating voltage is approximately between 1.5-5v and the operating current is between 20-70mA.
8. Green environmental protection: the waste things can be recyclable, and there is no pollution.
9. Short response time: it is adapted to the occasions of the frequent switch and high-frequency switching operation.
