Constant current laser driver refers to ATLSXA202 series laser drivers, which outputs constant laser current with high efficiency and low noise. The efficiency can reach over 90%. The output noise of the current is 0.05%. The laser driver provides a series of functions, laser constant current control, laser current monitoring, over current and thermal protection, witching frequency synchronization, laser diode status indication, soft start, and shut down.
ATLS3A202D is one of the constant current laser drivers, with output current of 3A maximum. It uses a low noise and high stable 2.5V reference voltage to set the output current. It can also use analog to digital converters or digital to analog converters to monitor and set the output current respectively.
The stability is very high, 100ppm/°C. An external digital signal can be used to synchronize the internal PWM output stage of this laser driver. It can eliminate frequency beating interferences between the laser drivers and other switch mode electronic circuits on the same PCB.
