High efficiency 5V 6A TEC controller
TEC5V6A-D is a kind of high efficiency TEC controllers, also called petier controller, which is an independent research and development product of our company (ATI). It is designed for driving thermoelectric cooler (TEC), with high stability, high efficiency, zero EMI in regulating object temperature. Figure 1 is the physical photo of TEC controller, TEC5V6A-D. Figure 2 is the top view of the actual controller, which shows pin names and locations.

This TEC controller can be used to set the object temperature, the maximum output voltage and compensation network. The compensation network is utilized to compensate thermal load, in order to stabilize temperature control loop. TEC5V6A-D comes with a high stability and low noise 3.0V reference voltage. When using the reference, the set-point temperature set by POT or DAC will be more accurate because measure errors has nothing to do with the reference. The 3.0V voltage is also the reference voltage of ADC, so by using the reference, ADC measurement results is also more accurite.
TEC5V6A-D is packaged in a six sided enclosure to block EMI and avoid interference with other electronics.
