A glass sealed NTC thermistor is a high reliability and sensitive device, based on the technology of glass sealed diodes. It has high mechanical strength and also can prevent the performance drift caused by sensitive chips exposed to the atmosphere and the physical and chemical adsorption. While the glass is relatively high, it can be good for overcurrent protection and temperature compensation of NTC thermistors. There are two types of glass sealed NTC thermistors: axial glass sealed NTC thermistor and radial glass sealed NTC thermistor, see Figure 1.
