In recent years, with the development of thermal electric materials and the marketization of TEC modules, there is a R&D upsurge of thermoelectric cooler and thermoelectric conversion devices. Traditional air conditioner and refrigerators apply freon or other compound refrigerant to realize refrigeration. The leakage of freon or other refrigerant lead to pollution of ambient environment and damage to the ozonosphere. Thermo electric cooling technology doesn't need any refrigerant. When it's working, it has high stability, without any noise. Therefore, TEC technology has a wide prospective of development.
Thermoelectric cooling system is made up with P-N semiconductor component electrodes and heat exchanger. Its performance is not only depended on the internal structure and the physical performance of semiconductor materials, but also on heat exchanger and working current. Early researchers focused on the analysis that thermoelectric parameter depends on temperature. However, in actual application of thermoelctric cooling, precision thermostat, medical instrument and other precision electronic control components are affected in non-steady working condition by changing environment. When design the peltier modules, you need to take a comprehensive consideration of the temperature of cold side and hot side, as well as the voltage, in order to achieve best cooling effect with the min. power.
