We have developed multiple series of constant current laser drivers. Such as ATLSxA103D, ATLSxA104D, ATLSxA214D, ATLSxA216D, etc. These laser drivers can be used to drive more laser diodes with high efficiency. They have both a wide input voltage range and a wide output voltage range. The size is very small, but can output high current and high voltage. The real laser diode is very vulnerable in practical applications. We developed a laser driver load assembly, ALLD10A14V.

Here is an internal block diagram of the laser driver load assembly:

The internal block diagram shows that the laser load assembly consists of 4 parts: A series of regular diodes with configuration switches, heat sink and fan, fan control circuit, over temperature detection and shutdown circuit. The dummy laser uses regular durable diode, with the maximum current allowed up to 100A for a short time, and the maximum reverse voltage on each diode of 150V. If the temperature of dummy laser diode exceeds 90°C, they will be disconnected from the laser driver, thus to prevent the laser diode from being damaged. Replace the dummy laser diode with a real laser diode after ensuring that the laser driver is working properly and all connections are correct.

The evaluation board can be used with the laser driver and load assembly. It’s more convenient to connect the wire to the external circuits by using the evaluation board. It can set and monitor the output current. For details of the evaluation board and load assembly, please read its datasheet:
