Evaluation Board for ATLSxA218D Laser Driver

 ATLSxA218D laser driver is a high voltage laser diode driver with high efficiency, over 90%. It can drive one or more serial laser diodes at the same time. The input voltage is from 5.5V to 27V, while the maximum output current is 15A. It comes with multiple features that are difficult to achieve at the same time, such as ultra low noise, high current stability, high efficiency, wide voltage range, compact size, zero EMIs, etc.

Such a high voltage high current laser driver needs a proper evaluation board for testing and evaluation, so ATLS218EV1.0 evaluation board is recommended. This evaluation board is only compatible with DIP package laser driver. It can be used for setting the output current and the output current limit with two potentiometers. There are also several connection pads and terminal connectors for connections with external components or instruments. It’s recommended to use this evaluation board with the dummy laser load, ALLD10A14V, as well as a digital multimeter. The dummy laser load can emulate the non-linearity of laser diodes, and the real laser diodes are often very expensive and vulnerable.
