ATLS250MA104 laser diode driver is one of 104 series laser drivers that are developed by ATI. This laser diode driver comes with a maximum output current of 250mA and a low current noise, <0.6μARMS@ 0.1Hz ~ 10Hz. When powered by a power supply of 5V, the output voltage is from 0.5V to 3.6V.
This laser diode driver has a temperature compensation network, which can keep the output current to be the same even when the laser diode driver temperature increases. Moreover, this laser driver comes with a over temperature protection circuit. When the temperature exceeds the limit, 120°C, this laser driver will shut down itself automatically and will restart itself when the temperature comes back to the normal range.
As the photo below shows, this laser driver has a metal enclosure to block EMIs so that it will not interfere other electronics, and vice versa.
