The World’s Best LED Bulbs for Railway Lanterns
High brightness LEDs based on new technologies have
received many new applications. Using them in flashlights is one of
them. Since the technology is new and the products varies greatly in
quality and performance, special attentions should be paid in
choosing the right products for your applications.
Our GOLDLED and SILVERLED are the drop-in
replacement LED bulbs for replacing the traditional incandescent
bulbs found in the industrial flashlights, particularly, for the
railway lanterns used in the railway fields. The GOLDLED has a >
35 lumens total output light while the SILVERLED has > 70 lumens
total output light, both consumes < 1.2 Watt electric power.
The following are the main features useful for the
railway inspection applications:
RF Interference immunity and EMI radiation.
The railway inspection fields have strong RF interference, such as
those from the Walkie-Talkies, cell phones, etc. Our LED bulb is
completed shielded by metal materials, there is zero leakage of the
RF interference both from outside to the inside, to ensure the high
RF interference immunity, and from the inside to outside, to ensure
zero EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) radiation.
Deep usage of the batteries.
By using our GOLDLED or SILVERLED LED bulb to replace the
incandescent bulbs, the batteries’ life time can be extended up to 8
times, while keeping the same brightness. Comparing with the closest
competition, our LED bulb has 25% longer usage time for achieving
the same brightness based on the same battery. This extra usage of
the batteries come from three reasons:

A. Higher efficiency of the LED controller: ours
has the average efficiency > 90%, while the competitions’ are
70% to 80%.

B. A special circuit to keep battery “alive”.
This circuit keeps the controller drawing the power from the
battery even it is too old to be drawn power by other the
controllers in the competitions’ LED bulbs.

C. Better bin LEDs. We pay extra price to procure
better bin LEDs so that the electricity to light efficiency is
higher.
Water resistant.
Our LED bulb has the
water resistant design. This ensures the light availability in the
harsh environment which is often found in the railway field
applications.
Shock resistant.
Our LED bulb is
completed potted by high grade epoxy inside the bulb body, making
the LED bulb shock resistant. This feature is particularly important
for railway field where shocking and vibration are often found
during the inspection work.
Constant brightness.
Based on the high performance LED controller designed by our highly
skillful engineers, our LED bulb emits constant brightness while the
battery’s voltage varies.
High brightness.
Based on our high
efficiency controller and the high efficiency LEDs utilized in our
LED bulb, we ensure that our GOLDLED has > 35 lumens total light
while our SILVERLED has > 70 lumens total light, both consumes < 1.2
Watt electric power.
Natural color temperature.
We choose to use the
LEDs with the color temperature of between 5000 C to 5500 C, which
is close to the natural white color. Other temperature LEDs, such as
7000 C or higher is too “white”, making eyes not feeling
comfortable.
Over temperature protection.
Our LED bulb comes
with over temperature protection. In case the application
environment surrounding the LED bulb does not provide enough heating
sinking capability and the LED bulb’s temperature rises to a preset
level (110 C), the controller lowers its current till the
temperature stops rising above 110 C. At this point, the LED bulb
works under constant temperature mode, not constant brightness
mode.
Long life time.
Because of the
constant brightness control and the over temperature protection
mentioned above, the LEDs used in our LED bulbs will be working
under “pleasant” conditions so that they full life time can be fully
lived. Some competition products that do not provide good heat
sinking mechanisms, nor constant bright control and the over
temperature protection, the LEDs life time will be greatly reduced.

bulb pays off its cost by itself for the railway companies.
